Format.ie is based on the very beautiful north west coast of Sligo under the Benwiskin mountain with the famous and legendary Gleniff Horseshoe behind us.
We design and build websites and applications with a splash of end user training thrown in. We have worked on web related projects since 1995.
Jon grew up in Mullaghmore on the north west coast of Sligo and first worked with 'the web' in '1995' as an in house trainer with Unilever Plc at their head office in London.
Training staff on the use of Netscape version 2, led to training users on NetObjects Team Fusion for maintaining intranet sites. Since then Jon has worked on web related projects in Ireland, the UK, France and Holland.
Lisa started her career in London for ITV working as an Assistant to a Lobbyist using her French & German and often travelling abroad to lobby European parliamentarians in Brussels and Strasbourg.
She had a brief spell at INSEAD Paris as a fundraiser and then moved back to London where she worked in recruitment for 20 years encompassing marketing, PR and business development for law firms, commercial businesses and human resources departments. Moving to Ireland meant changing her work focus to web design and no better trainer than her husband Jon.
A visit to the office of Format.ie will inevitably involve a meet and greet by Toby, a role he is very much suited to.
While his typing speed has not improved much over the years, he has built up close working relationships with our clients and brings the whole team together... and for walks!
Lisa is a very creative, inventive and a very personable person. She is an expert in her field and always thinks outside the box in terms of ideas and innovations that would suit her client.
