Case Study: New School Website for Scoil Aodh Rua Agus Nuala (SARAN)

Project Overview:

Objective: The Principal and staff of Scoil Aodh Rua Agus Nuala (SARAN) wanted a website that showed the artistry of the pupils so it was agreed that they would design the header and footer of the website with a video made by a local videographer portraying the town and school activities.

Challenges Faced:

Time Restrictions & Content Delivery: Teachers are always busy so we had to try and keep the direction of the project moving forward in order to get the website over the line.
The Right Hosting: The staff use the Post section to show parents the children’s activities. This uses up a huge amount of hosting space so consideration had to be given to the right hosting solution.

Regular Meetings and Emails: Polite reminders were sent on content required and several meeting were set up with training sessions.

WP School Calendar Pro Plugin was ideal for this school, an easy-to-use plug-in with the ability to add colour for different categories of events.

Divi Torque Lite Plugin was used for the News Alert on the Home Page – again, an easy-to-use plugin that can be managed via Posts.
